Earlier today I saw an article on twitter posted by USACheer (for full article click the link below). The article announced that cheerleaders from the University of Kentucky will be representing the United States at the 2018 winter Olympics. They will be there to participate in certain ceremonies as well as compete against other teams from around the world! At this time cheerleading is not an official Olympic sport but cheerleading has been granted a provisional status. Either way it is exciting to see talented athletes represent our country and our sport at the most prestigious sporting event in the world, and who knows. Soon cheerleading may take center stage!
